Sometimes, you can duplicate your sketch layer and apply a Gaussian Blur to it for shading on your values layer. Duplicating and stacking multiplying value layers for extra impact can also be helpful.
Save multiple and separate versions as you go, so you can take a step back to an older version if something goes horribly wrong. Duplicate layers as often as needed and be free.
I love this type of tutorial ... but ... i don't find any tutorial on description of the brush setting used for painting.
However ... is great job
